Line and Shape
For my photos, I captured shots of my cat Buddha frolicking around my backyard. In Photo 1 Buddha is about ten feet above me laying on my back porch, and from below I was able to capture his head poking out between the beams in a nice vertical format. I didn't really consider the rule of thirds when taking my photos, but I tried to incorporate it when cropping and editing them. I think Photo 5 best uses lines to guide the viewer's eyes throughout the photo.
Pattern and Texture
I think my best photo is Photo 6. I got really close to capture the shot and snapped the picture pointing directly at it, and captured it in a horizontal format. I believe it follows the rule of thirds as the branch that captured the most light has its own third, while the more darker branches take up the other two thirds. This picture is a great example of pattern, texture and rhythm as there's a lot of details and texture on the bristles of the branch and the branches are waving all around in a rhythmic motion with patterns from the bristles.
I think the first photo may be overexposed as the whites are extremely white, the mid tones light grey and the blacks a dull light black. Image four looks underexposed as the dark values are a lot more pronounced and the whites are greyish. The last photo is the best example of a properly exposed image since the whites are bright, the greys are balanced and the blacks are dark.

Motion
For Photo 2 I used 1/500 of a second to freeze action. ISO was 3200 and WB was Cloudy. I froze the action of the umbrella twirling, which was shot straight on and about 10 feet away. Compositional elements taken into consideration were the rule of thirds, shape, strong colors of the umbrella and contrast.
For Photo 1 I used 1/3 of a second to blur action. IS was 100 and WB was Cloudy. I blurred the action of the umbrella twirling, making it look like a rainbowy vortex and I shot it straight on about 10 feet away. Compositional elements taken into consideration were the rule of thirds, shape, strong colors of the umbrella and contrast.
